What is your new year's resolution? What are your plans for 2010? What will be different about this new decade for you?
There is much to celebrate at Youth for Christ West Puget Sound. 2009 was a year of transition, but also a year of great growth. We continued our thriving campus ministries with 9 clubs running weekly in Kitsap and Mason counties. The Independent Living program underwent an explosion of growth, helping almost 200 foster youth each month. While undergoing a director transition, Foster Care continued to provide excellent care for the many foster youth and foster families in our program. Juvenile Justice Ministry continues to be an extremely rewarding ministry, ran completely by volunteers, and dedicated to serving the troubled youth in both Kitsap and Mason detention centers. Our Teen Parents ministry was launched officially in July of 2009. It has over 20 teens who have been involved and it is the only mentor-based, Christian teen parent program in our counties.
In 2009, just over 1000 kids were involved in our ministry sites and of those, 118 kids accepted Jesus into their hearts for the first time! We have been blessed greatly by the Lord in our ministries and are so thankful to all of you who make it happen. Your contributions have blessed many kids and in turn, many families.
We believe with this great foundation from 2009, there is great hope for 2010. God continues to show his faithfulness to us, leading us to believe that 2010 will be a decade of both promise and potential.
If you wish to partner with Youth for Christ West Puget Sound, there are three main ways: Prayer, Financial, Volunteer.
