Feet to Fit the Path
Even though it may be painful, let's pluck out the hooks of our culture's lures. Let us educate ourselves on how to serve our neighbor rather than how to get ahead of him.

December 8-14
Merry Christmas?
Why do we so often try to make Christmas white, or glistening with ornaments and garland? Why do we have parties, eat fancy desserts, burn sweet smelling candles and give elaborate gifts? Why do we send cards with twinkling stars, snow covered spruces, decorated trees, cute manger scenes? Why do we have two weeks vacation?

December 15-21
Herod is Dead, Jesus Lives
In direct opposition to the materialism exemplified by Herod is the servanthood exemplified by Jesus. We need to dedicate our lives to serving Jesus and not the material possessions that Herod thought were so important.

December 22-28
The Lamb Who Brings Peace
Because Jesus was willing to walk through the Sheep Gate as the lamb of sacrifice, my dad was able to peacefully enter the ?gates of heaven? cleansed by the blood of the Lamb of whom my Dad often sang.

December 29-Jan.4
The Manger Transition
There are so many subtle ways that we have recreated Jesus into our own image, putting hay into the manger so to speak. What we really need is to be able to see the Lord as he is, and allow that vision to transform us.
